Program and process administration and support is a key accountability for the University Coordinator.  Below are examples of instances when ROTC students interact with the University Coordinator:

  • To coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings, gatherings, programs, events and academic courses that occur on campus and are hosted by the Dept of Military Science, including inter-campus arrangements for early move-in.

  • To coordinate collaboration between other Lehigh University offices, departments, or faculty, such as the Office of the President, Department of Athletics, Communications and Public Affairs. 

  • For all requests for funding by the Dept of Mil Sci finances including from the departmental budget and restricted and unrestricted fund accounts.  For pre-approval of all purchases that may need to be reimbursed—large or small. 

  • To submit, obtain or process paperwork such as Cross Registration forms, ROTC parking permits (for Non-Lehigh students), change of grade or late registration forms needing College of Arts & Sciences approvals, and alcohol waivers for events.

  • For all building related matters such as, maintenance, furniture, amenities, and service contracts. To move or borrow furniture or any other departmental or university assets such as Owls, cameras, folding tables, and athletic equipment.

  • For all Registration and Academic Services matters/processes related to Military Science & Leadership courses and the Dept of Military Science.

  • For departmental website matters.

  • To access membership services such as Costco or Evite platform and to procure services from all internal and external vendors such as printing, caterers, and event venues.

  • To obtain permits, certifications, approvals for all activities, construction, events.

  • The University Coordinator currently serves as the ROTC Club Advisor.  Club officers must keep advisor informed of all club activities and finances.

  • Ensure that Military Science courses adhere to the College of Arts and Sciences guidelines and as they appear each year on the Catalog.

  • Liaison between ROTC program and POCs at LVAIC and non-LVAIC schools including the following offices: Bursars, Registrars, Veterans Affairs, and Admissions Personnel.

  • Maintain updated course registration memorandums of understanding with LVAIC and non-LVAIC schools as things constantly change and improve for the cadets’ benefit

  • Update and maintain onboarding procedures for military staff
